I have a Studebaker Pick-up Project that’s been in a heated shop 1948 Studebaker M5 ½ ton pick-up Project (not complete, not running). I have a Studebaker Pick-up Project that’s been in a heated shop/storage for 40 years. The all steel body has been exceptionally/professionally restored and sealed with epoxy primer. If you look close, the front fenders are the same as the rear. Fiberglass fenders are not an option for these Studes, so the original steel fenders have been restored. The door, fender and hood gaps/fits are worth noting, they are much better than factory. The box is original, the vertical supports, and rail supports have been welded/capped. The tailgate has the latches moved to the inside. The frame has been blasted and epoxy primed. The front suspension is a Fat Man cross member, Mustang II Independent, tubular A-arms, torsion bar elimination kit, tie rods, power rack/pinion, new disc brakes, rotors, bearings, calipers, brakes and shocks. The rear suspension is 9” Ford, new drums ,wheel cylinders, brake pads, leaf springs with adjustable turnbuckle type torque limiters, a pan hard bar and new shocks. Under the hood, the firewall has been replaced with a core 302/5.0 V8 set in place (yes, distributor is on the right end). The engine has the serpentine accessories mounted, water pump, power steering pump, alternator. The aluminum radiator is installed, w/hoses and electric fan (no fluids) The power brake booster is mounted with stainless brake lines/hoses ran (no fluid in system) The T5 Manual 5-Speed Tansmission is installed, the drive shaft has been fitted/installed. Stainless Headers are mounted to the engine with full 2" 316 Stainless Dual Exhaust routed out the back of the truck. The interior/dash is original other than a tilt wheel/column installed. The original gas tank has been cleaned/epoxy coated inside with new rubber fill spout/gasket installed Original parts/hardware, glass are included and labeled in boxes. No wiring on the truck
