For Sale

  • Seller fee: $0

No project listing fee or commission when you sell at a fixed price.

  • Buyer fee: $0

No platform premium on For Sale / fixed-price projects.

Auction

  • Seller fee: $0

No launch fee and no commission on the hammer. You keep the winning bid.

  • Buyer premium: 5% of the winning bid

Maximum $5,000 per completed sale. Charged at auction close to the winner's card on file.

Platform fees are separate from the vehicle price. We do not collect, hold, or escrow the vehicle purchase funds — the buyer pays the seller directly using a method both agree on.

1. For Sale — $0 / $0

Fixed-price and classified projects carry no platform fee for either side. Seller fee: $0. Buyer fee: $0.

2. Auction — seller $0, buyer premium 5% (max $5,000)

Creating a Garage, listing a project, and launching an auction cost the seller $0. Winning buyers pay a 5% buyer premium on top of the hammer price, maximum $5,000 per completed sale (5% buyer premium (maximum $5,000)).

  • Premium is calculated on the final winning bid when the auction closes.
  • SMP charges only the buyer premium to the buyer's card on file at close — the hammer goes to the seller.
  • Verified phone, email, and payment method are required before opening an auction or bidding.

3. When auction fees apply

  1. Auction runs — public bids, visible clock, anti-snipe in the final minutes. Buyer premium is shown on every bid confirmation.
  2. Hammer falls — highest valid bid wins. Buyer and seller get a contact packet. Buyer pays seller for the vehicle; SMP captures the buyer premium only.

4. Auction buyer premium examples

Buyer premium = 5% of hammer, maximum $5,000. Totals below assume you win at the listed hammer. For Sale has no buyer premium.
